570 Jeeps Christmas toy drive benefiting the Angel Tree program

Are you ready to be part of a club that combines the excitement of Jeeping and off-roading with strong community commitment? For the growing base that makes up 570 Jeeps, the two go hand in hand. 570 Jeeps is a volunteer-run, non-profit Jeep club central to the 570 area code of Pennsylvania. You can check us out on our main Facebook Page to find the locations of our chapters in Scranton, Matamoras, Bloomsburg, or Wilkes Barre. We started in April of 2018 when our founding members realized there was no Jeep club in the area. Since then, 570 Jeeps has managed to build a good base of Jeep and off-roading members with a variety of skill levels. From the beginning, we have kept our eye on the community, and continue to do everything we can to offer our support to the people around us while still enjoying some of the most amazing rides this area has to offer.

Come for a Ride Today!

If this sounds like the kind of club you want to be a part of, there’s no better time than now to get in touch and join us on one of our rides. Anybody is welcome, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re completely new to the world of Jeeping and off-roading or you’ve got plenty of experience, everyone at 570 Jeeps is ready to welcome you.

You don’t even need to have a Jeep to join in on the fun! Despite our name, we’re open to all off-roading and motor enthusiasts. We even have members who simply want to be a part of our charity mission, even if they don’t ride often – or at all!

Of course, if you are new to Jeeping or off-roading, you can rest assured our members will be ready to help you out with the “do’s and don’ts” you need to know for a safe and fun experience. We’ll also split into different skill levels on some of the more challenging trails we ride.

And if you’re not already a member and just want to check us out, feel free to come on a ride. All of the events we post are available to non-members.

Activities and Off Road Adventures

If you’re ready to come out and join us, just check out our Facebook Page. Our members are always posting rides on our Facebook page, so don’t be surprised when you see multiple rides posted every week. New off-road adventures are alway available. We also host many different events throughout the year. Some of our most notable events are our annual Fall Foliage Ride and participating in the Christmas Bridge Festival and Tour for the Columbia County Covered Bridge Association. Both the Fall Foliage Ride and the Covered Bridge Tour consist of long stretches of non-maintained township roads.

Go Topless Day at Camp Freedom

Note: Special Thanks to Camp Freedom for opening their gate to us on Go Topless Day.  Camp Freedom is opening their property to us only for Go Topless Day. The rest of the year access is restricted.

For our event, at Camp Freedom, we will have access to 3500 acres of woods. We have a lot of exciting events and attractions planned, such as a 4 mile trail ride, clay pigeon shooting, jeep show and shine, power wheels junior off road course, motor and outdoor vendors, food, live music and lots more.

Charities We Recognize

  1. Camp Freedom provides counselling and outdoor adventure to disabled veterans and first responders.
  2.  EPCAMR encourages the reclamation and redevelopment of land affected by past mining practices. We partner with Wicked Jeeps PA to cleanup garbage people dumped in Centralia. This event is to assist  EPCAMR with their efforts.
  3. Simpson VFW Post 4712 Post  We raised money to help Simpson VFW post and their mission to repair the towns WW1 Memorial.
  4. Columbia County Covered Bridge Association is a non-profit association comprised of volunteers with one goal in mind; to restore, preserve, and protect the Covered Bridges of Columbia County.

We also have plenty of other events that aren’t related to riding as well, such as toy drives, an annual food drive, parades, BBQ’s and much more. Check out our Facebook Event Page for additional event information and times.

Emergency/Disaster Strike Team

One thing that makes our club standout is our Emergency/Disaster Strike Team. The team transports emergency and healthcare workers in severe weather, assists in search and rescue, transports wildfire crews and responds to natural and man made disasters.

570 Jeeps Emergency/Disaster Strike Team conducts emergency drills. This is a great opportunity for new members and those interested in joining the team to get their feet wet. Please message 570 Jeeps on our Facebook Page for more info about our team and services.

Listen to Our Members

Ricky Thomas commented, “I love the community that 570 Jeeps has introduced me to. We do a lot for the community and I love being able to show my son that you can still have fun and help people. The loyalty, respect that we as jeepers have for one another and those with similar interest is second to none!”

Michael Funaro commented, “I can say what I like most is that I have never been involved with a finer group of people. When off roading if anyone has a problem, the group works as a team to solve any situation, so you never feel alone in any situation, you can always rely on the people with you. I can also say that I love that the group is not just an off roading group, but a group with a strong desire to help the community, such as toy and food drives as well as community clean up and more. I am proud to be a member.

Come Join Us

We’re available on Facebook and you can also check us out on Instagram to learn more about the experience you can expect to have when you join us at 570 Jeeps.
