Salty Jeepers, located in Saline County, Arkansas, was founded in September of 2014 by six folks who had a love for Jeeps. They were looking for a place where they could get together with other people who shared their love of God, family, country and after that their love of Jeeps! It’s important for those in Salty Jeeps to help those who are in need, to make time to celebrate in times of joy, to pray for those who are in need and to take time to enjoy each other’s companionship while also appreciating the beauty of nature every time they head out to enjoy the trails provided to them.
Other clubs and organizations Salty Jeepers interact with include the Arkansas Crawlers, Arkansas Jeep Owners Society and 7 Slots Arkansas Jeep Club. Salty Jeeper also has members associated with other organizations including Tread Lightly.
Join Us On a Ride
Salty Jeepers invites any Jeep owner to join them on a ride! Jeep owners are welcome to come out and attend any of the group’s rides, so long as they abide by their club rules and principles set by Tread Lightly. Salty Jeepers organizes rides at least once per month, though several members of the group may also organize rides several times per week. There are always opportunities to get out and enjoy the trails in the area. Additionally, Salty Jeepers has an annual “Go Topless Day” ride in May that is always a ton of fun for everyone!
Often, Salty Jeepers offers specialized rides for more experienced drivers. Additionally, the group will put together beginner rides for new Jeep owners that will give them the chance to learn the ropes in an environment that is safe and welcoming.
Salty Jeepers also offers wrenching events, as it’s important to the group that everybody is willing to help other members, both new and old, work on their Jeeps. Several members have access to shops where work can be done on Jeeps more conveniently. The group offers several winch and recovery classes throughout the year and organizes general off-roading safety and training events.
Anybody with a Jeep and over the age of sixteen is welcome to join Salty Jeepers after they have attended three Salty Jeepers events, posted a bio on the Salty Jeepers page and completed an application. The club as a group will vote on each applicant before approving them for full membership.

What Members Have to Say
Robert A. Hutcheson Commented
“I like how our club doesn’t feel like a club. It feels more like a group of friends coming together and hanging out. There’s always someone willing to help or offer their time to assist whether its installing new mods or winching classes. The level of giving in our group is amazing also. Donating to the children’s hospital or the backpack ministry, everyone comes together to help those in need.”
Kaede Wilson Commented
“I love this amazing group of people. We only knew two people in the group when we started coming around. I can say now that I can depend on the guys and gals for anything. They are amazing and welcome you with open arms into our crazy little family!”
Our Charity Work
It’s incredibly important for Salty Jeepers to be able to give back to the community. The group has taken part in many community-based and charitable efforts since its founding.
Since 2014, Salty Jeepers began supporting the local non-profit organization “Harmony in Hooves,” which provides therapeutic riding using horses for both children and adults in need. The group also provides a great amount of support for the Camp Sunshine event, a retreat for pediatric burn survivors, and takes part in the fundraising Fun Run.
In addition to these charitable events, Salty Jeepers has also taken part in numerous other smaller fundraising activities and charitable endeavors. These have included helping a local family in need of clothing for an adopted teenage girl, delivering treats to local police and fire departments to show its appreciation, collecting gift cards for a young girl who had lost her mother, and showing support for a police officer lost in the line of duty.
The group’s largest event, which it organizes annually, is the Children’s Hospital Angel One Transport Event. This event has everything a Jeep owner or offroad enthusiast could want, an obstacle course, cars to drive over, vendors, food, raffles, a car show and other enthusiasts’ fellowship. Through this event alone, Salty Jeepers has managed to raise $15K to help fund Angel One Transport, which provides transportation for critical care patients to neonatal, pediatric burn and high-risk obstetric patients all across Arkansas.
