“Let’s go wheeling.” That’s our motto at the now thriving Matanzas Jeep Club. We started out as a group of local friends in St. Augustine, Florida dreaming of riding the big rocks out of state. We are now one of the largest Jeep clubs in the entire Southeast area, taking a minimum of four to six out-of-state rides each year including fall crawls and winter/spring campouts.

We pride ourselves in being an all-inclusive club open to every level of Jeep owner with no dues expected. Whether you’re a new Jeep owner or are looking to expand your trail experience we offer safe, one-of-a-kind rides for stock users to professional buggies. Our members not only love to hit the trails in their Jeeps but are always looking to meet other Jeep enthusiasts as well. Even though we’re based out of Northeast Florida we collaborate with many other clubs like Just Jeeps of Jacksonville, Ancient City Jeepers, 8 Flags Jeep Club, Low County Mudrats, Mid-Florida Jeep Club, Southern Sands Off Road and so many more.

Our Mission is Teaching

Just starting out as a Jeep owner and aren’t sure where to start taking her out? Many Matanzas members are highly experienced wheelers and guides who love nothing more than to introduce newcomers to the exciting world of off-roading. We even hold newbie clinics. These clinics go over how to safely prepare for your first ride as well as how to advance to more difficult trails. With our club, you will never be left to handle pre-event checks alone. A member of our team is always a honk away from answering any questions or concerns you may have.

How We Give Back

In addition to helping new Jeep riders find the right path we also value those who have selflessly given so much of themselves for a great cause. Our most popular events such as our annual Show and Shines, Poker Runs and Fall Crawls benefit veterans and other deserving charities. The Fort Benning Warrior Transition Battalion, Poisoned Patriots Foundation, St. Francis House, K-9’s for Warriors and Ronald McDonald House are just a few of the fantastic foundations we have had the pleasure of working with.

What Our Members Have to Say

Michael Scalio said, “I’ve been with Matanzas Jeep club for about 10 years and having been through many of it’s changes in leadership I’d say the club has always held true to the “no dues” type membership. This is what first attracted me but I fell in love with the people and Jeeps. The great friendships and memories from years of trail riding to volunteer work for our events as well as helping other Jeep clubs.

In my eyes, this is the best Jeep/off-road club in North East Florida”

Dale Manseau said, “I have only been a member of this club for a short time though I have known most of these folks for a few years. I would have to say the feeling of being treated as if I am a member of the family is one of the top things on a very long list of things that make this club one of the best in the Jacksonville area.

I have seen no animosity among the members and everyone is always eager to help folks achieve their Jeep build goals without bashing anyone’s personal idea of what jeep life should be.”

How to Join Us Off-Road

If you have a Jeep and are looking to get more involved with the off-roading community, Matanzas Jeep Club would love to have you join us on our next adventure. Even if you are unsure about joining up, you are still welcome to ride along during our next event. We love to hear tales and see smiling new faces as we hit the trails. We meet up on the second Saturday of each month in rotating locations including beaches and state parks or hunkering down for a warm meal when the temperature drops.
